Rainy Day Waiting Games

Rainy afternoon barn chalk, kitties and puppy yummy rubs while we wait for Polly to get her baby pig show on the road.

Mama Pig is done: 3 boys, 2 girls and we lost one giant boy that got stuck enroute. Though we had perfect weather, Mama took the farrowing pretty hard and this may be her last litter. She had done well for us and at nearly 6 years of age, has had a productive life 4 years longer than 99.9% of sows in this world. We will see how she comes out of this in the coming weeks before any final decisions are made.

Polly meanwhile is horrible uncomfortable and wouldn't eat this morning so she should go any time...I would have guessed hours ago but she is holding off!
