Turkey Friends

My best friends might not be good looking or very smart, but they sure do like me. 🤗

The turkeys have grown into lanky teenagers and even though they now range pretty far and wide on the Farm, the moment they hear my voice they coming running. These guys are the only poultry that actively seek out my attention, even when I don’t have food, and seem to simply enjoy puttering around the yard with their “flock mate”. I truly enjoy having them follow me around, conversing with their odd little turkey sounds and showing me and each other all the things they find interesting. There really isn’t a more sociable bird.

I had no real plan of “why” to own turkeys when I picked them up at the feed store but now I can’t imagine the farm without them.
