Jumping Clinic with George Morris: Sheep Edition
That thing where you frame by frame your sheep’s leap so you can George Morris “Jumping Clinic” critique his form:
“The sheep’s knees are slightly uneven and he has a strong lean to his left. Possibly a chasee error in the zig zag portion of this child hunting course. His expression is enthusiastic, if clueless. He is making good use of his back but his head is cranked more than it needs to be towards the next leap. Perhaps a change of bit and a little more leg from the fleeing children could remedy this. As for turnout, his sheepskin appears unkempt and not crocheted, entirely unsuitable for the child hunting showring. If this were a show, I’d also like to see the children in better running gear, to give more speed and agility.”
Thanks to too many issues Practical Horseman magazine during my formative years, I now automatically do this to all jumping photos of 4-legged creatures.
