Oh Ducks...

Oh ducks...

Not only did I dump their pool and tip it over so the Evie and her friends wouldn't accidentally play in the gross duck water, the ducks then had to watch those same kids splash and play for a full hour in the incredibly inviting slip 'n slide.

The sad ducks just kept hovering in the area and pathetically watching the kids the whole time. They couldn't quite decide if it was worth the risk of being accosted by children to spend some time in the wonderful splash area. They never quite got up the courage and eventually went and sulked under a tree.

And so when everyone left, I went out and turned it on just for them. And while the white ducks weren't very good at sharing the deep end of the pool, great joy was had by all.
